How we operate
Personal visit
Before we start looking after your pets, we'll arrange a personal visit with
you so you can meet us face to face and we can meet your pets and you can talk through your requirements.
We
understand you have hectic schedules, so we are very flexible about the times we can arrange this visit to fit in easily
with your diary.
Pet diary
When we are caring for your pets, we will complete a pet diary to keep you up
to date with what your pets have been up to while you were away. This is a great way for you to feel involved, especially
if you're working long hours and your dog had a fun day out in the park. The pet diary is available online, so if you're on holiday or at work simply log onto the internet and you will see pictures of your
pet and read what he or she got up to.
Peace of mind
Walk the Dog takes security seriously. We
are fully insured and police checked. All client keys are held in a safe. We can hold
onto your spare keys, if you prefer, once you have returned from holiday in case of any emergencies, or if you
need someone to check your home if you are out all day.
You also have the assurance that our very own dog listener, Hanne, has been
personally trained by internationally reknowned Jan Fennell - known as 'the Dog Listener' and her son Tony Knight. This
means you can be confident that the help we give you, is from someone who has a
true understanding of the canine language.
We are delighted that Walk the Dog in association with Hanne Grice, was awarded
the Special Merit award from the National Association of Registered Petsitters in 2007 and 2008 for services in dog walking,
pet care and dog training.
Back up for life
If you book us for dog training, you will receive a full consultation and follow
up calls to check on your dog's progress, plus a free back-up call service for life. This means if you ever come unstuck at
any point, or your dog starts behaving in a way you've not experienced before, you're safe in the knowledge that you can call
for further advice.
